Country House near Segovia
Casa Hechizo is a country house in the province of Segovia, in the Coto de San Isidro estate (Ituero y Lama), about 20 minutes by car from the city of Segovia and just over an hour from Madrid. Secluded, surrounded by nature and with everything you need, so the day trip is just one part of the plan.
What to see in Segovia
Segovia is a UNESCO World Heritage city with plenty to see in a day:
- The Aqueduct, the great Roman symbol of the city. Climb the steps by the wall to see it from above.
- The cathedral, known as the "Lady of Cathedrals".
- The Alcázar, perched above the Eresma and Clamores valleys.
- The Jewish quarter and the old town, to wander at your own pace.
What to eat
The star dish is roast suckling pig (cochinillo asado), and for dessert, ponche segoviano. If you're going as a group, book a table in advance.
And back to the house
Back home, a 1,000 m² garden with holm oaks awaits, plus a porch with a barbecue and table football, and a large living room with a fireplace. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and room for up to 10 people, so it's ideal for a getaway with family or friends.
For kids (and not-so-kids) there's a trampoline, mini golf, karaoke and consoles. And if you're staying a few days, Ávila is very close too, as are lots of hiking trails.
